Monday, July 14-Sunday, July 20

If I may humbly opine, there's not a lot going on in the lil' A this week. Might have to drive yourself over to the big A. Or if you live there in the larger of the two A towns you don't have to worry about coming down to the lil' A (except to see the metal show Friday at Caledonia which is going to be very, very good). Either way, you're an A-hole. Just kidding.

Wednesday, July 16:
Al Green. Michael McDonald (yeah, he's there too...) and Al Green perform as part of the Delta Classic Chastain Concert Series. 8 p.m. $25-$90.
Chastain Park Amphitheatre (ATL).

Ocha la Rocha, The Rosewood Thieves. Star Bar (ATL) 9 p.m. $7.

Thursday, July 17:
Kuroma, The Films, The Hiss, The Redcoats. Pop Death Squad presents One Year Anniversary of Big Trouble in Little Five Points. Star Bar. (ATL) 8 p.m. FREE. (I admit I've never heard of 3 of these bands but Kuroma has my full support...wish they had a web address of any kind that I could link to so you could hear them).

Friday, July 18:
The Dumps, Black Tusk, Gaylord. Caledonia. 10 p.m. $6 (21+), $7 (18+). http://www.caledonialounge.com/.

Saturday, July 19:
Olympus Mans, Weirdbeard. Rye Bar (used to be D.T.'s Down Under). 10 p.m. FREE! www.myspace.com/ryebarathens.

Yeah I'll keep digging for things for you to do and see and hear...
